Matter of Principal - April

Dear High School Parents,

Almost seven weeks ago, our campus was closed due to the pandemic. Life as we know it has changed completely. We switched from face-to-face in-class instruction to Learning from Home instruction. For the last couple of weeks,’ staff at the high school campus has been working hard to provide an effective learning at home for students. The learning curve for all of us has been very steep. It has been a challenging process, but we find this new learning very rewarding as we see new ways of engaging students in learning. We understand that this is not easy for students and families. We want to reassure you that we will do everything in our power to support our students.

You have been exceptional partner with us in your child’s education and now in these unprecedented times this partnership becomes even more valuable. As children learn at home we want you to provide us guidance to help your child. The wellbeing of our students is our priority.  Staff members are using diverse resources available to them to help students learn from home. As a parent you can help them set a regular daily routine, stay in communication with their teachers and peers for learning, seeking support for wellbeing.

The School Council had their meeting in early April and will be informing all of you for their future meeting in the fall. As the school building is closed to all, the best way to reach out to staff and administration is via their email or by sending a message via Edsby.

Take care and stay save and strong. We are in this together.
